STATUS MARCH 2017:
There are many community efforts currently underway to improve access to healthy foods. Springfield Community Gardens is currently planning for organizational improvements to reach more people and to grow more food in the 2017 growing season. A Food Collaborative is currently forming and is identifying and prioritizing policy and system improvements that can be collectively developed. A concept for a Community Resource Center has been developed and a location, timeline and funding is currently being sought.
