STATUS MARCH 2017:
A Playspace Assessment has been completed to identify access gaps to play. Best practices (e.g. open use agreements) have been identified but have shown little success. Currently, reexamining action plan and researching other best practices and engaging new stakeholders.

STATUS JUNE 2017:
Currently, reexamining action plan and researching other best practices and engaging new stakeholders. In addition, The Ozark Greenway Trail Network will be expanding as detailed below thus increasing access play spaces:
Fulbright Spring Greenway Phase 3: addition of .54 miles (2,844 feet) of greenway trail, in-progress, estimated completion date November 2017.
Fulbright Spring Greenway Phase 4: addition of 1.27 miles of greenway trail, in-progress, estimated completion date January 2018. Once Phases 3 & 4 are completed there will be over 7 miles of continuous, hard-surfaced trail connecting Ritter Springs Park, David C. Murray Park, Lost Hill Park, and Truman Elem.
James River Greenway’s Trail of Honor segment: addition of 1,648 feet of hard surface trail and 3,198 of gravel trail, in-progress, estimated completion date October 2017.
Ward Branch Greenway’s Twin Oaks Substation segment: addition of 1,400 feet of hard surface trail, estimated completion date September 2017.

A Playspace Work-group is forming and will engage local stakeholders to work towards increasing access to playspaces. In addition, the James River Greenway Trail of Honor Segment was completed in September 2017, addinf 1,648 feet of trail.

Jordan Greek Greenway Bob Barker to Central Street Trail Gap Closed. .528 linear feet. Access points from Bob Barker and Central street
Ward Branch Greenway CU Twin Oaks Substation Gap Closed. Approx 1000 linear feet of trail. Access points Republic Rd and Monastery Dr.
Trail of Honor/James River Greenway extension: Approx 1700 linear feet of trail. Access point from Timbercrest Rd
James River Greenway extension from Trail of Honor: Approx 3100 linear feet of trail. No access points from roads/cross streets
