Develop Referral System to Appropriate Care

OBJECTIVE: Create a coordinated referral system among healthcare and community partners.
STATUS: CoxHealth received funding from the Missouri Foundation for Health to strengthen this objective with a web-based system to track referrals. The web-based system is the same system that will be part of the comprehensive case management program. The two programs plan to integrate in the future.

Improve Pathways for Healthcare Careers

OBJECTIVE: Create and sustain a healthcare career pathway, which will initially impact 300 individuals.
STATUS: The Missouri Career Center is starting a new effort in February 2018, Change 1,000. The effort will increase soft skill training to increase employment for 1,000 individuals in 3 years. One of the targeted sector will be healthcare.

Increase GO CAPS Medicine Healthcare Track

OBJECTIVE: Increase the number of high school students exposed to and immersed in healthcare through GO CAPS project-based learning by 30%.
STATUS: Enrollment in Medicine and Health Care strand increased by 21% from the 2016/2017 school year to the 2017/2018 school year. Three additional classrooms (Branson, West Plains, and Lebanon) were added this year to accommodate for continued growth in the future.

We don’t expect to see any change in enrollment again until August 2018.
