STATUS MARCH 2017:
The Tobacco Collaborative planning has begun and plan to utilize Robert Wood Johnson Funding to assist with the work in Springfield, Branson, Monett, and Joplin. The work will help launch a training and toolkit to assist the communities in their work around tobacco.

STATUS JUNE 2017:
The Healthy Living Alliance’s Regional Tobacco Collaborative Steering Group has been meeting on a regular basis. This group is guiding the development of a digital tobacco toolkit as well as planning for a regional tobacco training that will take place in September. The toolkit and training will provide information to help guide communities with smokefree ordinances.

STATUS SEPTEMBER 2017:
The HLA Regional Tobacco Initiative will be providing grant stipends to the surrounding communities. The funding is to assist communities in developing a smokefree ordinance or expanding work on tobacco free policies. The funding has to be spent by 12-31-17.
