2017

STATUS MARCH 2017:
TLC Properties is underway with implementation of smoke-free housing. Smoking cessation will be offered to assist in the efforts. Other properties have been identified to implement a smokefree policy.

STATUS JUNE 2017:
Community Land Trust and TLC Properties have both taken action to offer smoke-free hosuing.
Community Land Trust will offer smoke-free multi-unit housing for current properties and all future acquisitions.

TLC will have 28% of units smoke-free in 2018. Smoking cessation classes were offered to the residents of TLC in March by the Springfield-Greene County Health Department. There were no participants.

STATUS SEPTEMBER 2017:
The HLA Tobacco Committee recently hosted a regional planning event to provide education and toolkit for more than 60 regional partners to advance local tobacco control.
The Springfield Tobacco Collaborative has now formed and is meeting on a regular basis. The collaborative has plans to address Tobacco 21 and Smokefree Housing.
